SUMMARY:La Conner Birding Showcase
DESCRIPTION:The La Conner Birding Showcase will be held the final weekend in January. Anacortes Telescope will be on hand to demonstrate (and sell) spotting scopes\, binoculars and mounts by manufacturers such as Celestron\, Kowa\, Meade and Alpen\, Wild Birds Unlimited will be representing Swarovski & Vortex Optics. \nThe keynote speaker for Saturday\, January 27\, is Paul Bannick\, an award-winning photographer and author\, who will present his new program featuring video\, sound and stories from the field and several dozen new images from his brand-new book: Owl: A Year in the Lives of North American Owls. Paul uses intimate yet dramatic images to follow owls through the course of one year and in their distinct habitats. \nThe keynote speaker for Sunday\, January 28\, is Martha Jordan\, head of the Northwest Swan Conservation Association\, who will be making her “Swans of Winter” presentation. \nWhidbey Island photographer Pamela Davis Headridge will be in attendance with her beautiful prints and cards. Bob Hamblin of Avian Spectrum will also be on hand to demonstrate his unique and extensive collection of birds videos.  Sue Hanneman\, a falconer and bird abatement professional from Airstrike Bird Control\, will be will be attending with her birds. \nOther organizations at the event will include Skagit Audubon Society\, Master Gardeners and Skagit County Historical Museum\, among others. \nThe Showcase will be located at Maple Hall in the heart of La Conner! \nGeneral Admission: $5.00; children 10 and under – free. \nTickets Available Here!\nLa Conner Birding Showcase
